Copper Hills President - Jerry, Vice President - Marty, Treasurer - Kelvin, and Secretary - Janet

September 2019

September saw the Copper Hills members join their fellow state chapters in Winnemucca, Nevada, for the annual Good Sams Samboree.
The Copper Hills Chapter was well represented with 13 rigs attending the Samboree.
This year’s Samboree, as always, was packed full of games and activities throughout the week, along with an ice cream social and dinner served by the state staff on separate evenings.
In addition to the normal games and activities, the newly formed Veterans Chapter conducted a very emotional American flag retirement ceremony. When the ceremony was over, there was not a dry eye to be found anywhere in the audience. The new Veterans Chapter President (Brad) is to be commended for all his efforts at organizing and staging the event.
At the end of the week, during the awards ceremony, Copper Hills members were recognized for their participation in the games with ten first place finishes, four second place finishes, and seven third place finishes.
During the week, the Chapter Presidents gathered for their annual meeting and elected a new State Director. Jimmy Johnston will be leading the Nevada Good Sams state organization starting in January 2020, Congratulations Jimmy!
Copper Hills would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Randy Williams and his wife Shirley for their past service as State Director as well as their participation on the state staff for so many years.
The Nevada Good Sams state staff worked hard during the week to provide a fun fill week of activities and the Copper Hills Chapter would like to thank them for their efforts.
